Rev. Teressa Sivers joined St. Paul’s on July 1, 2018. Her role includes worship leader and preacher, leader of staff, and vision-caster. She works with the Worship, Church Council, Leadership Development, Finance and Staff Parish Relations (personnel) teams, as well as alongside the Loving Care Coordinator in the areas of pastoral care, funerals and weddings.
Pastor Teressa received a degree in Psychology before enrolling in seminary at Duke University, where she earned her Masters of Divinity in 2001.
She has previously served as Pastor at Oneonta First UMC in New York and Lakeville UMC in Pennsylvania. She is passionate about community service with experience as a leader in Bridges Interfaith Campus Ministry, a member of the Oneonta Refugee Resettlement Coalition, an appointed commissioner on the City Commission on Community Relations and Human Rights, and Chairperson of the Bishop’s Task Force on Eliminating Racism.
