The Book of Revelation ends with this beautiful vision: “Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb through the middle of the street of the city. On either side of the river is the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, producing its fruit each month; and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.” Water plays an important role as a symbol of God’s gracious, loving, and justice-seeking presence in our lives. As we move through the month of September, we will spend time with the story of the Samaritan woman at the well from John, chapter 4, and explore the deep living water that is God’s presence within and among us.
