One of God’s forest creatures, the eastern newt (Notophthalmusviridescens), undergoes an amazing life cycle transformation. It starts as an egg in water, metamorphoses into a walking juvenile shown in this photo, spends years on land ( known as a red eft) and then when matures makes its way back to water to complete the cycle. It’s a beautiful gift to enjoy.
